Kosovo reach new high in FIFA World Ranking

Kosovo has jumped six places in latest FIFA’s world rankings after impressive results in June during Euro2020 Qualifiers.
According to FIFA World Ranking published on Friday Kosovo is ranked 121 and is up to six places reaching highest position to date. Also Kosovo team has marked biggest move by points In FIFA’s ranking by collecting 25 points after two games in June against Montenegro and Bulgaria.
A draw with Montenegro 1:1 in Podgorica and dramatic win of “Dardianians” against Bulgaria in Sofia 2:3 gave Kosovo a boost after successful series against national teams ranked better than Kosovo. They currently sit third in Group A – a point behind leaders England and Czech Republic. Kosovo became member of FIFA only in 2016 and during this time has managed to go up from 190 place to 127. After the incredible form over the last two years, Kosovo is hoping to qualify for the 2020 Euro competition and next qualifying game against Czech Republic in September is decisive. Currently Kosovo has the longest unbeaten run in all of Europe with 14 games undefeated. Kosovo national team managed to finish atop Group 3 of League D during the 2018/19 UEFA Nations League tournament.
